This cozy onesie features Corita's 1965 artwork pigeons. Corita often quoted Gertrude Stein in her works. The phrase, "pigeons on the grass alas" references Stein's libretto for the 1934 opera, "Four Saints in Three Acts," which she worked on with composer, Virgil Thomson. The phrase was part of a longer passage read by Saint Ignatius, which also mentions the "magpie in the sky."
